Sample questions/topics for discussion include:

- With more crowdfunders in the market, is there still a place for the traditional short-term lender?

- Has the P2P industry enough experience to survive a market meltdown and an increase in defaults?

- Who has the best funding lines - crowdfunders or bridging lenders?

- Can we expect further consolidation as mainstream lenders extend their reach into the SME market?

- Where does the future lie? An expansion into the property lending space for the crowdfunding industry or leave this traditional lending to those with the experience of this market?

3.10pm Panel discussion - FCA regulation and intermediary compliance

The market is bracing itself for the introduction of the the Mortgage Credit Directive. Will the latest proposals to the buy-to-let market really push it back to immediate post crash levels? The industry has now been asked by the lenders and funders to ensure that all commercial finance brokers both within and outside regulation compliant. With so much to contend with, do we know who is managing best in this ever-changing regulated environment and who will inevitably lose out?

Sample questions/topics for discussion include:

- Will the introduction of MCD on 21st March have any real effect on our business?

- How should we respond to the increase in Stamp Duty Land Tax on additional residential properties?

- What steps have we taken to ensure all brokers are compliant for Consumer Credit Act purposes?

- What regulation is coming next for the bridging and commercial finance industries?

3.35pm Panel discussion - Raising the profile of the bridging and commercial finance industries

Our industry has benefitted from an improving market during the last five years. In early 2016, we hear of reports of a global economic outlook that is less bright. How can we ensure that our upward trend continues and how we can make the best use of that momentum? Do we need to collaborate to raise the awareness of the options available to the UK's business borrowing community?

Sample questions/topics for discussion include:

We have a great internal industry PR but how are we perceived from the outside?

What can we do collectively to ensure that we maintain the correct profile?

Who is responsible? There are three different trade bodies with varying levels of engagement - how can we as an industry be best represented?
